Medium sized shelves are divided into main and auxiliary section structures, generally consisting of columns, beams, and shelves. The columns are divided into butterfly holes and diamond holes according to their load-bearing capacity. The thickness of butterfly hole columns is generally below 1.5mm, and the load-bearing capacity is within 400kg. The materials for both beams and shelves are selected based on the single-layer load-bearing capacity.

The main section of a medium-sized shelf consists of four columns that can be used independently, while the auxiliary section only has two columns that need to be attached to the main section for use. The reason is that each column has two rows of hanging holes for crossbeams, which can be hung on both sides.
